Navratri is a nine-night festival. On these nights Goddess Durga is worshipped in her various divine forms. All these divine forms symbolize strength, protection, and purity. This is a celebration of the feminine divine power and the triumph of good over evil, while commemorating the victory of righteousness, as embodied in Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura.
