Burigari Satya Yamini’s “Unplugged Oasis” stands as a beacon of innovation within the realm of child wellness and addiction. Located strategically within a bustling mall environment, this unique centre redefines traditional approaches by offering themed zones meticulously crafted to captivate children’s attention and engage them in activities that foster holistic development. From the ocean-themed dance hall that encourages physical movement and creativity to the space-themed storytelling room designed to stimulate imagination and cognitive skills, each area is purposefully designed using eco-friendly materials like Ecoplaster and low-VOC paints.

With an emphasis on sustainability guarantees for children, embracing this also preserves the environment. By having well-developed spaces that include an adventure room associated with the Disney castle and a nature-themed indoor playground, the Unplugged Oasis will provide a conducive environment that will ensure the children grow and achieve optimum development in their lives without necessarily relying on technology.

JDDA 2024

At the heart of Burigari Satya Yamini’s “Unplugged Oasis” lies a profound dedication to reshaping the landscape of child addiction centres through innovative design and sustainable practices. Recognised with the Mentor’s Choice for Best Methodology at the JD Design Awards, Yamini’s approach seamlessly blends aesthetic appeal with functionality, creating an environment that not only captivates but also nurtures young minds. Recycled rubber used in the construction of climbing walls and the sourcing of wood also depict the centre’s environmentally friendly strategy, thus making it the benchmark for other centres.

Every themed room, from the Disney castle pursuit to the inside botanical garden, is intentional to create a positive, stimulating environment that fosters creativity, physical movement, and social interactions for the physically challenged children and the other children. By incorporating additional features such as a themed decoration and engaging activity, Yamini has turned the removal of addictions into a potentially positive development for children by harnessing the creative potential of interior design and child development and earning her much-deserved applause for her revolutionary idea.
