AI Design Thinking workshop at JD School of Design turned out to be pretty thrilling! The students were excited as they gathered for the workshop hosted exclusively by Samsung and The Times of India. All were energised to find something for themselves in this session, which promised to be only full of technology and possibly new and innovative ways of improving their learning experience. For aspiring designers, innovators, and creatives, the spotlight was on AI and the Samsung Galaxy Ecosystem, a dynamic duo that shapes the future of design and creativity.
A Future-Forward Workshop
The workshop falls under a broader initiative by Samsung to get fresh technological innovations into the hands of students. From AI-powered Samsung Galaxy devices to interconnected tools, the company has always been the one leading in user-centric design solutions. However, this workshop was not only about the technology that influences thinking and adaptation towards the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Samsung Design Thinking
The workshop started with a 30-minute introduction to design thinking, an innovative process that mingles empathy, creativity, and strategy in solving problems from the real world. According to Samsung’s representative, in today’s fast-moving world where technology and design continuously intersect, this approach is critical.
Samsung Design thinking goes beyond being a method for designers, however, it is a way of approaching challenges that encourages innovation across all disciplines. In the study, they would learn how global brands like Samsung integrate design thinking into innovation and creative thinking. AI technology integration proves to be a vital emphasis showing how one device- the Samsung Galaxy, by itself, may be good enough in providing excellent innovation using AI, such as how its camera and text features take on an adaptive personality according to the person utilizing the device, predicting, via usage, what words the user may want to type.
The conversation quickly turned to how sustainable and future-proof designs matter. As the world continues to evolve at fast levels in all walks of life, the way we rethink design and education cannot be overlooked. The Samsung team took their convenience to the next level by also showing how AI tools, especially those found in the Galaxy ecosystem, can work not only as an aid but an effective arbiter of learning, collaboration, and creativity.
A Room to Breathe: The Interactive Review
After the presentation, the room became full-scale competitive in the best sense of the word. Set up as a 30-minute exercise was the idea of having the students test the embodiment of their grasp of the concepts of design thinking. Not about passing a test, it’s more about letting the creativity skills and problem-solving abilities be unleashed by the students.
The prize money was in the form of Samsung e-vouchers, but what stood out was their desire to move ahead in the ranks of their peers. They were challenged to apply their new knowledge and think on the spot to present novel design solutions.
Finally, two students came out as winners, whose solutions were cheered and applauded by their peers. Every participant left something very valuable behind- knowledge. Each student was awarded a certificate by Samsung, a tangible addition to their academic portfolios, marking their participation in this innovative workshop.
The Power of Technology: Samsung’s Presentation on AI and the Galaxy Ecosystem
The presentation to stand out in the day can be said to be the new technologies being presented by Samsung, as per the newest technologies of Galaxy AI and the Galaxy Ecosystem. This session showed how AI-driven tools could be envisioned for streamlining workflows, generating ideas for designs, and even automating a few repetitive tasks thus giving them more time to be more innovative.
Students were amazed by how the Galaxy Ecosystem streamlined integration across devices. Having the ability to design something on a Galaxy tablet and then present those designs on a Galaxy phone in seconds opened the eyes of many. It has served as a flexible, powerful resource that meets the needs of students today.
A Memorable Experience Photo-Ops and Student Engagement
In the end, the students were made to take fun photographs before a specially designed Samsung gate arch, perfect for a background shot as well as to capture some memories of the day. It was neither an Instagram moment; it was a visual representation of a collaboration between JD School of Design, Samsung and The Times of India celebrating a day dedicated to innovation and forward-thinking.
Over 100 participants were students of all years. It was, therefore, one of the largest and most successful workshops that the semester had witnessed. With the state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment put in place by JD, this event ran with no bumps. Many of the students were able to absorb every good word shared.
A Glimpse Into Tomorrow
The AI Design Thinking Workshop, brought to life by Samsung and The Times of India, was a glimpse into the future, where creativity, innovation, and technology mix marvellously. As part of the JD School of Design, this class returned with newfound knowledge, and inspiration to be tomorrow’s designers, ready with all the tools of the trade at hand.
