With leading companies like Aditya Birla, Arvind, Reliance, Bohe, Whitespace, and Scott International coming for recruitment, the campus became a buzzing spot of enthusiasm and anticipation. Students prepared themselves in every manner for what could be the first step into a promisingly bright future.
Connecting Talent to Industrial Experts
JD School of Design has always emphasized creating a link between academic learning and professional success. Be it in the form of a placement drive that sends across the commitment to employment, where the industry leaders of some of the most reputed companies come forth to scout for fresh and innovative talent. Aditya Birla, with its diversified business ventures, was looking for dynamic individuals who could generate fresh perspectives. Meanwhile, fully aware of their leadership position in textiles and retail, respectively, Arvind and Reliance were eager to hire design professionals who would shape the future of fashion and design.
To students, it was an opportunity they had been preparing for since day one at JD. Every sketch, every prototype, and every sleepless night was being put into practice. With portfolios in hand and nerves of steel, they were ready to show and prove their abilities.
Dreamer to Designer: The Journey
With every student stepping into their interviews, they were not only showcasing their work but narrating a story of their creative journey. From mood boards that inspired their collections to the intricate techniques they had mastered, every minute detail showcased the evolution of their design thinking.
Bohe and Whitespace are modern design aesthetics companies that were particularly impressed by the students for their sustainable approaches regarding fashion and interiors. Scott International is always on the lookout for bold, cutting-edge ideas and found itself drawn to the innovative spirit that JD School of Design fosters in its students. Every conversation was a discovery both for the students and the companies as to how creativity could meet real-world demands.
The Art of Self-Expression
The placement drive wasn’t just a platform for students to find jobs but was a stage to showcase themselves as designers. Each interviewee was indeed getting a chance to not only demonstrate their skills but to share their design philosophy, influences, and most importantly, the vision they came forth with to bring to the industry. Be it through clothes collections that have shouted rebellion, interior design concepts that have reinstated spaces anew, or told stories through the9518, students impressed recruiters with the depth of their thinking and attention to detail.
The students of the fashion design course presented collections that were full of trends and hence captured the fancy of recruiters. Similarly, interior design students, too showed how spaces can be functional and aesthetically appealing. The marriage of tradition with contemporary flair was very aptly reflected in the pieces presented by Jewellery design students. The diversity of talent on display was a reflection of JD’s holistic approach to design education.
The Beginning of a Promising Career
As the day wore on, students started to see the fruits of their labour. Many walked away with jobs in hand, and others were invited for further interviews. The placement drive was a success for all parties involved: students walked away with the satisfaction of knowing their hard work paid off, and recruiters left knowing they’d met some of the most brilliant minds in the design world.
Bright is the future at JD School of Design. Campus placement drive once again proved that this is a place of learning, where careers are launched. As the nurtured talent finds recognition and value with industry leaders, JD stands forward once again to lead the race of design education.
These newly minted designers also assume responsibilities in companies like Aditya Birla, Arvind, and Scott International with confidence, creativity, and the backing of a world-class education. The world of design is ready for them and they are more than ready to take it on.
